The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart is about younger children but I think that older people can enjoy it.  I like this book because there is a lot of action and you get to figure  out what is happening along with the characters in the book.  It has a lot of excitement and I would recommend it to anyone who likes an adventure/mystery books.
